An Overview of Fynit

Fynit is fully owned by Netdaze, which offers web design, hosting and domain name registration services, and was originally devised as a means to promote Netdaze. Subsequently, the Fynit Directories have proved to be very popular and has its own dedicated team.

Fynit (pronounced 'Finit') derives from an old Scots word:

[e.m.E.fined (1555).] Refined, purified. —

The idea for Fynit was to create a refined business and shopping directory environment where users were not constantly subjected to pop-ups, dead links, false leads, scams, over-priced advertising and unreliable sourcing.

The first Directory to be built in 2004 was the Scottish Business Directory. Subsequently there is now a UK Business Directory and a New York & Long Island Business Directory.

The Online Shopping Directory was created in late November 2005, while a new Fynit Shopping Catalogue was introduced in mid-October 2006.
